Tully Jackson Shares Her Story

Our Dragonfly Co-Founder, Ed Brown, had the opportunity to connect with Tully Jackson, a transplant recipient from West Des Moines, Iowa, at the Iowa Donor Network 5K this year. 

Tully shares her story and her experience with the Dragonfly Transplant Fund with us:

"In late November of 2022, I was placed on the National Transplant list as I was in need of a new liver.

On February 9, 2023, I received the call every recipient dreams of. We drove to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and I received a new liver (thanks to my hero donor) on February 10th, 2023 (also my wedding anniversary)!

After my transplant as I recovered in the hospital, kind people came into my room and spoke to us about the Dragonfly Transplant Fund. They brought a bag of goodies and gift cards for us to use in the hospital. This was such a thoughtful gesture and allowed my husband to use the gift cards as he visited during my recovery.

The Dragonfly Transplant Fund made recovery brighter. Thank you to Ed and everyone who supports the fund. It meant so much to our family!"
